General note: Obrázky Internal bibliographies note etc.: Literatura Scope and content: V rámci rozsáhlého záchranného archeologického výzkumu v lokalitě Hostivice-Palouky (okr. Praha-západ) bylo v roce 2002 kromě jiného prozkoumáno sídliště z mladší fáze doby stěhování národů a nedaleko od něho, výše na svahu skupina, soudobých studní s dřevěnou konstrukcí. U dvou z nich byla výdřeva dobře zachována. Šlo o typ komorových studní, které se v provedení konstrukce lišily. V prvním případě byla masivní konstrukce fixována naražením dřev do stěn studniční jámy, ve druhém případě šlo o jednoduché bednění. Pro stavbu studní bylo použito dubové dřevo. Přestože dendrochronologická analýza neumožnila absolutní datování studní, přinesla informace o jejich vzájemném chronologickém postavení a byla podkladem i pro úvahy o určité stabilitě tehdejšího osídlení. Výdřeva studní pochází ze stromů kácených postupně v průběhu 26 let. Výsledky získané pomocí dendrochronologie byly potvrzeny datováním radioaktivním uhlíkem C14 metodou AMS. Vzhledem k časovému zařazení do mladšího stupně doby stěhování národů patří studny k výjimečným nálezům ; Extensive rescue excavations at Hostivice-Palouky (Prague-West district) in 2002 allowed, amongst other things, investigation of a settlement from the later phase of the Migration Period, and, nearby further up the slope, of a group of contemporary wells with wooden structures. In two of these the wooden cladding was well preserved. They represent a type of chambered well, differing in their construction. In the first case the massive structure was fixed by wooden tapping to the walls of the well pit, while in the second it was simple boarding. Oak wood was used. While the dendrochronological analysis did not allow for an absolute dating of the wells, it did yield information regarding their relative chronology, and was the precondition for consideration of a certain stability in the local settlement. The well linings were made of wood from trees that were felled over a 26-year period. The results obtained through the use of dendrochronology were confirmed by the dating of radioactive carbon using the C-14 AMS method.
