Recenze: The chateau complex in Hradec nad Moravicí, formed by three independent structures, is situated on an elongated promontory with the steep rocky cliffs of Nízký Jeseník. The representative classicist White Chateau, the dominant square White Tower, and the romantic neo-Gothic Red Chateau are situated on the northern edge of the vast landscape park, also managed by NHI. The structural evolution of the White Chateau reaches back to the latter 11th century. Renaissance reconstructions and later Baroque modifications gave the original Gothic castle the character of a comfortable aristocratic residence. The present appearance is the result of a neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance reconstruction realized as per the design of the architect Karel Lüdecký from Vratislav. Complete restoration began in 1982, including stabilizing the horizontal and vertical foundational structures, restoration of the exterior cladding, and the historic rehabilitation of all areas of the chateau's interior. The castle courtyard was also revitalized, and the attic structure of the western wing was reconstructed to serve as a depository. The final stage of the complete monument renovation of the far-northern interiors is presently in preparation.
