Wznawiać: Zwischen 1933 und 1945 fand auf dem Berliner Kunstmarkt ein Verdrängungsprozess statt: während zahlreiche Kunsthandlungen schliessen mussten, wuchs die Bedeutung von Auktionshäusern, die private Kunstsammlungen oder ganze Wohnungseinrichtungen von meist jüdischen Berlinern versteigerten. Bis zuletzt profitierte der Berliner Kunsthandel darüber hinaus vom Handel mit Beutekunst aus den im Krieg eroberten Gebieten. Auch die Debatte um die Restitution verfolgungsbedingt entzogener Kunstwerke steht noch immer am Anfang. Erst seit einigen Jahren werden die Bestände der grossen Berliner Museen und Sammlungen nach 'Raubkunst' durchleuchtet.
