Václava 1720, věž byla ale přistavěna dodatečně až v letech 1733-1734. Horní patro věže přistavěno až v roce. 1867. Štukový oltář vznikl v roce 1738 a jeho autorem je s největší pravděpodobností sochař Jan Adam Weber. Malby jak oltáře, tak kupole provedl rovněž velmi pravděpodobně malíř Václav Samuel Theodor Schmidt z Plané u Mariánských Lázní. U obou umělců je doložen jejich pobyt na farnosti Kostelec, kam Ostrov patřil, na podzim roku 1738. Kaple měla původně nějaký jednoduchý krov s lucernou a šindelovou krytinou červeně natřenou, ale po narušení kaple úderem blesku v roce 1774 byla ve vrcholu klenby místo dřívější lucerny přizděna malá kupolka a na rub celé klenby byla přímo přizděna prejzová krytina. Ve vrcholu kaple byl pak osazen kříž na kamenném podstavci. Jak koncepce oltáře, tak i štukové figury ve vysokém reliéfu vykazují těsnou podobnost s dílem plzeňského sochaře Lazara Widmanna, který pro klášter doloženě pracoval ve 30. letech 18. století, a nelze tak vyloučit, že Jan Adam Weber tu pracoval podle Widmannova návrhu. ; The chapel was consecrated on St. Václav's day in 1720; the tower was added in 1733-1734. The tower's upper storey was finally added in 1867. The stucco altar was created in 1738, most likely by the sculptor Jan Adam Weber. The paintings in both the altar and cupola were very likely created by painter Václav Samuel Theodor Schmidt from Planá near Mariánské Lázně. Both artists are recorded to have stayed at the Kostelec parish, to which Ostrov belonged, in the autumn of 1738. The chapel originally had a simple roof with a lantern and red-painted shingle roofing, but after the chapel was struck by lightning in 1774, the lantern at the peak of the vaulting was replaced by a small cupola while the vaulting was built in with pantile covering. A cross was then set into a stone base on the peak of the chapel. The design of both the altar and high relief stucco figures shows a close similarity to the work of the Plzeň sculptor Lazar Widmann. He is recorded to have worked for the monastery in the 1730's, so it cannot be ruled out here that Jan Adam Weber based his work on Widmann's design. ; Die Kapelle wurde am St. Wenzelstag des Jahres 1720 geweiht, doch ist der Turm erst nachträglich in den Jahren 1733 – 1734 angebaut worden, das Turmobergeschoss sogar erst im Jahr 1867. Der Stuckaturaltar ist 1738 entstanden, sein Urheber war höchstwahrscheinlich der Bildhauer Jan Adam Weber. Die Bemalung von Altar sowie Kuppel hat – gleichfalls mit höchster Wahrscheinlichkeit – der Maler Václav Samuel Theodor Schmidt aus Planá bei Marienbad ausgeführt. Bei beiden Künstlern ist für den Herbst 1738 ihr Aufenthalt in der Pfarrgemeinde Kostelec belegt, zu der Ostrov gehörte. Die Kapelle hatte ursprünglich einen schlichten Dachstuhl mit einer Laterne und rot angestrichenem Schindelbelag, doch wurde nach der Beschädigung der Kapelle durch Blitzschlag im Jahr 1774 über dem Gewölbescheitel anstelle der einstigen Laterne eine kleine Kuppel aufgemauert und unmittelbar auf die Gewölbeaußenseite eine neue Dachhaut aus Hohlziegeln verlegt. Anschließend wurde auf dem Kapellenscheitel ein Kreuz auf einem Steinsockel angebracht. Sowohl die Altarkonzeption als auch die als Hochrelief ausgeführten Stuckfiguren verraten eine enge Verwandtschaft zum Werk des Pilsener Bildhauers Lazarus Widmann, der für das Kloster nachgewiesenermaßen in den 30er Jahren des 18. Jahrhunderts tätig war, weswegen nicht auszuschließen ist, dass Jan Adam Weber hier nach einem Entwurf von Widmann gearbeitet haben könnte.
